What is Sculptra?
Sculptra Aesthetic is a formulation of poly-L-lactic acid. This solution triggers the body’s natural production of collagen and gradually improves the appearance of marionette lines, smile lines, chin wrinkles, and generally restores facial volume.
Treatment Procedure
In a 45 minute to 1 hour procedure, Sculptra Aesthetic is injected underneath the skin.
With multiple injections, the Sculptra solution replaces the collagen in the deep dermis layer of the skin. This process adds fullness to volume-deficit areas without appearing as though you’ve had a cosmetic procedure.
For optimal results, it can take up to 3 sessions with about two vials per session. Ultimately, the amount of injections and the number of sessions is dependent on the Indvidual's unique concerns and desired outcome.
The youthful results will gradually appear within 6 to 8 weeks of the first session. It is common to experience bruising around the injection site for up to two weeks following the Sculptra treatment.
