What is Botox Therapeutic?

At Guelph Laser, Botox® Therapeutic is safely & successfully used to treat a wide variety of medical conditions such as hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), as well as spasmodic (muscle pain).

Botox® Therapeutic has shown efficacy rates as high as 80% in many clinical trials for the treatment of these conditions.

When it comes to Botox® for hyperhidrosis, this treatment has been proven to be effective in decreasing both palmar and axillary hyperhidrosis (sweating of the armpits, hands, and feet). It successfully blocks the release of the chemical responsible for stimulating the sweat glands.

In fact, Botox® for hyperhidrosis is the only prescription medicine for excessive underarm sweating that has been approved by Health Canada.

Treatment Procedure

A Botox Therapeutic treatment takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. First, a numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area. Next, an injection is applied to the affected area. This will provide relief from excessive sweat within 3 to 10 days and last for three months to one year.
